Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Overview

Polar is the Merchant of Record for all Vergate purchases. This means Polar processes payments, issues receipts and invoices, and handles refund requests on our behalf. This Refund Policy explains when you are eligible for a refund and how to request one. Vergate offers a free tier and paid subscription plans; subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis depending on your billing selection.

2. Subscriptions

Because Vergate begins consuming compute resources and monitoring infrastructure as soon as paid features are used, using paid features constitutes delivery of the digital service, and subscriptions are generally non-refundable after use. If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a problem with the service, please contact us at support@vergate.dev — we're happy to help. Paid subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time to stop future billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to the Service until that date. You can cancel via the "Manage Subscription" link in your purchase confirmation email, via the billing portal in your Vergate dashboard, or directly through Polar at polar.sh.

4. Meaningful Use Review

If you haven't meaningfully used Vergate during your current billing period, contact us within 14 days and we'll review your request. Once monitoring, scans, or other paid resources have been consumed, subscriptions are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or in cases of billing errors or service outages. To request a review or a refund, contact us at support@vergate.dev with your Polar order ID (found in your receipt email), or request directly via polar.sh using the email address on your invoice. Refunds are issued by Polar to the original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Approved refunds are generally processed within 14 days of approval.

5. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Consumers residing in the EU/EEA and UK have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction in accordance with Polar's terms and applicable law. If you have questions about this Refund Policy, contact us at support@vergate.dev.
